With no other noise except the gentle hum of a sewing machine and the laughter in the sewing room.
Where not only will you have a fun, relaxing weekend, you will also get to work on a sewing project of your choice with expert help at hand for those tricky bits! – how great would that feel?
What to Expect…
Imagine your sewing machine in front of you, powered up and ready to go… your beautiful fabric, all cut out and ready to sew… you look up with a smile on your face and see lots of other sewists, with the same passion for sewing as you, needles poised, stitch ready!
Ahead of you is a full weekend of sewing shenanigans, great company and lovely food – what’s not to love?

Our Autumn Sewing Retreat kicks off on the 16th October 2026 with a fabulous afternoon of sewing before sitting down to a delicious three-course dinner where we can get to know each other better.
There are no set projects, so you can bring along anything you’re already working on or try something new while you have tutors on hand to help you through.
If you need inspiration, then we can chat beforehand about what sort of project you’d like to do. Whether you are at the start of your sewing adventure or a seasoned sewist, this retreat is for you.
You can sew at your own pace, take as many breaks as you like, take the chance to have a wonder round and see what others are up to, make new friends, share sewing tips and eat biscuits!!

THE VENUE
The retreat will be held at Hillscourt Hotel in the Lickey Hills on the outskirts of Birmingham. The cost includes 2 nights stay, use of the conference facilities and all meals.
Hillscourt’s redbrick charm dates back to 1897, but the luscious green surroundings of the Lickey Hills are prehistoric and so beautiful they inspired Tolkein’s Lord of the Rings.
We will be using the large conference room during the weekend that we will transform into a lovely sewing room, so we can set up and won’t need to pack away until we leave. You’ll have your own personal sewing table, but we’re together enough that we can chat as we sew.
Everyone will have their own single room with en-suite shower room, so no need to share! Your room will be fully equipped with Freeview TV, tea/coffee facilities, combination safe, hairdryer and telephone.
There is plenty of on-site parking.

POP-UP SHOP
There will be a pop-up shop with some haberdashery essentials should you need anything over the weekend, including essential sewing kit, machine needles and interfacing.
CHARITY RAFFLE
Everyone loves a raffle right? especially when there are great prizes to be won and when all the money raised goes to our chosen charity Anawim who do some fabulous work supporting women in need.
What to Bring…
You will need to bring your own sewing machine, sewing kit and project kit.
You are more than welcome to bring your own overlocker too, however there will be 4 overlocker stations set up for you to use over the weekend.
Irons and ironing boards will also be available for you to use.
You will have your own table and plug socket so you can spread out and won’t need to pack away until we leave – heaven!
Pricing
The total cost for the full weekend is £620
To make it a bit easier on your pocket, the payment is split into 4 instalments.
The cost includes; your own room, all meals and coffee breaks, use of the conference facilities, expert tuition on hand when you need some help – the fun and shenanigans are free!!

PHOTOGRAPHY
We take photographs during our retreats for promotional purposes. Please make us aware at the time of booking if you would prefer not to be included
DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
All dietary requirements are catered for. Please help us by mentioning any requirements at time of booking.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
£80 deposit is payable at time of booking with a further 3 instalments due on the 1st May 26, 1st July 26 and 1st September 26.
Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.
If full payment has not been received by 10th September 2025 we reserve the right to reallocate your place.
If you are booking your place after the 1st September then the full cost of £620 is payable at time of booking
Please make sure your sewing machine / overlocker is in good working order before you arrive. If your machine isn’t in good condition with all electrical cables undamaged then you will not be able to use it due to the risk of electrocution or electrical fires.
REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS
If you are unable to attend for any reason, please let us know, in writing, as soon as possible.
We will re-advertise your place, if it can be taken by someone else, we will offer you a partial refund. If this is not possible then we regret that no refund will be given.
In the unlikely event that we have to cancel the retreat you will receive a full refund.
