Indigo Dress Workshop

Would you love a comfy everyday dress? One which is easy wear and you can make again and again in lovely fabrics to suit your style?

The Indigo Dress by Tilly and the Buttons cute, comfy and effortlessly stylish, there are no fiddly fastenings so you can throw it on and go. Sew it with classic gathered seams or elevate it to a stand-out piece in your wardrobe with the pretty exposed frill seam.

Indigo has a bodice shaped with bust darts, gently curved empire waistline, and floaty gathered skirt. Make it as a top with dipped hem ending at the low hip, or a knee-length dress with straight hem and pockets (yay!). Choose from three-quarter flounce sleeves or slim-fitting bracelet sleeves. You’ll want to wear one every day of the week.

If you prefer a gathered puff sleeve, i will show you how to convert your pattern to suit your style!

The Ripple Dress by Sew Different is a loose fitting, peasant-style frock, perfect for skipping through meadows! It has a boxy bodice with a notched neckine, and elbow-length raglan sleeves. The skirt is gathered with spacious cut-out pockets. This everyday dress pulls on over the head with no need for a zip, and there are two lengths (knee length & midcalf) to choose from.

will need to be able to use a sewing machine and have a couple of projects under your belt such as the Jaimie PJ’s, or an easy top.

Your very own Tilly and the Buttons Indigo Pattern, or Sew Different Ripple Patter are included. You will also have use of all equipment, including state of the art sewing machines and tools. Tea, coffee and biscuits are also included, you just need to bring your own fabric, thread and a bit of lunch.
