Beginners Dressmaking Course (8 week course)

If you would love to learn how to make your own clothes then this course is for you. This course takes place over 8 weeks and will cover the basics of dressmaking and is the perfect starting point for your sewing journey. This class is suitable for everyone, regardless of gender. During the 8 weeks you will make a pair of pull-on trousers with pockets and a top (or a dress), and learn lots of dressmaking techniques along the way including:

using a dressmaking pattern

adjusting your pattern for a better fit

how to cut your fabric

creating seams and hems
-
creating darts and pockets
-
and much more!
You will need to be able to use a sewing machine, if you need to learn then you could sign up for the Absolute Beginners Class first.
Sewing patterns, use of all equipment and as much tea and coffee as you can drink are all included. You will just need to provide your own fabric. More details will follow once you have booked your place.
